AOS v.3.5 beta supports Oracle 10g OLAP
MORRISTOWN, NJ - March 17th, 2006
ACG, Inc, a leader in providing both Oracle and Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions, has announced the release of AOS version 3.5 beta upgrade with support for Oracle 10g OLAP.
The newly developed 10g Oracle OLAP application server provides 100% of the existing features and functionality found in previous versions. Some of these features include the ability to create custom reports (via Oracle 10g DML scripting); saved selections via Guided Analysis; the creation of custom aggregates/measures; and Rank, Exception, and Range selection tools. The AOS front-end will continue to support the current Microsoft Excel-like look and feel with its powerful formatting capabilities and tight integration with Microsoft's desktop applications.
The application server can provide reporting on 10g "Relationally Mapped" database that are typically reported by tools such as Oracle's Discoverer and Excel Add-In or legacy migrated Oracle Express 6.x databases from native Express EIF files.
The new release of AOS will continue to support all versions of Oracle Express and all multi-dimensional engines based on Microsoft's ODBO standard (including Analysis Services). Existing Express and Analysis Service cubes can now co-exist with newly created 10g OLAP cubes within the same portal. They may even share the same reporting interface.
