AOS 3.0 Administration
The four-day AOS 3.0 Administration class includes an overview of the AOS architecture, a review of the features of the Browser and Reporting Clients, instruction on the Administration Console, and all of the information you will need to support your end users.Training Course includes:
- Server installations of AOS
- Complete instruction from a user's perspective, using the Browser and Reporting Client tools
- AOS architecture
- Creation of new users, groups, folders and links
- Advanced topics such as Support Servers and Usage Analysis
- Windows NT and Custom Security models: Set up users and groups using an exterior source
- User profiling exercises
- The Scoping concept, and how it pervades an entire AOS application
- Load Balancing: set up a number of different database and application servers in order to transparently support a large concurrent user base

Customizing Oracle Express-based Applications on AOS 3.0
This course provides an in-depth look at customizing AOS to deliver your business intelligence applications. This two-day class is designed for clients who use Oracle Express as a data service, and who are or who would like to take advantage of the openness of the AOS platform to create highly customized, formatted, and interactive content for their AOS applications.Major topics for this course are:
- Custom Reports: Learn how to use a combination of your own report scripts and templates to create highly customized and formatted reports.
- Metadata: Detailed review of the metadata and catalog structures behind AOS.
- Programming Hooks: Understand the many different ways to manipulate AOS structures in order to exploit the full range of functionality, including data scoping.
Prerequisites: A solid foundation with the Oracle Express 4GL/SPL.

Customizing Web-based Applications on AOS 3.0
Customizing Web Applications on AOS offers two days of detailed instruction on customizing the look and feel of an AOS portal with web technologies, including HTML.This course includes:
- Bypassing Login: Different ways to allow your users to get around the login screen.
- Template Editing: Change the way folders, data view backdrops and the toolbar look by editing their templates.
- Custom Tag Use: Learn how and when to use AOS custom HTML tags, and learn to create your own.
- Third-party Tools: Find out how to use third-party products and technologies like XML and ASP to build interactive applications.
- Object Model Frameset: Change the general appearance by customizing the AOS HTML frameset.
- AOS Objects: Discussion about the different object tags in AOS templates, what they mean, and how they can be manipulated.
- Protocols and Architecture: Detailed description of how AOS makes it all come together.
Prerequisites: A familiarity with HTML scripting.
